MYP Science Teacher and Grade 6/7 Team Leader
Becky Rogers was born in the small town of Kentville, Nova Scotia, but spent the majority of her life moving amongst the Canadian provinces. Becky attended Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology and minoring in psychology. Becky holds a professional graduate certificate in Education from the University of Sunderland.
Becky will be teaching MYP Science this year and is the grade level leader. This is Becky’s fifth year teaching at ISNS and she is very excited to meet her new students!
Becky strives to have both a safe and enjoyable classroom environment. She expects her students to be respectful, and work hard. She is happy to be broadening her teaching experience in China and looks forward to watching ISNS grow as a Canadian IB World School.
In her spare time, Becky enjoys playing volleyball, basketball and golf. Becky has experience working with both middle school and high school students, as she coached volleyball in St. George, New Brunswick as well as for four years at ISNS. She looks forward to playing an active role in the athletics program again at ISNS!
