Diploma Programme Coordinator & DP Psychology Teacher
Though he was born and raised deep in the heart of Texas, Brian Kelley attended international schools his entire life and is an IB DP graduate. Coming from a diverse family, with a French mother and American father, Brian’s love of culture and language developed at an early age. He is trilingual, speaking English, French, and Spanish fluently.
Brian received his BA in Psychology and French from the University of Houston, while receiving his M.Ed. in School Administration from the University of Saint Thomas.
Throughout his career in education, Brian has worn many hats including Director of an After-school Enrichment Program, Director of Student Services, Director of Service Learning, CAS Coordinator, EE Coordinator, and has taught IB DP Psychology and TOK, as well as MYP Individuals and Societies. He is thrilled to be the IB DP Coordinator at ISNS and looks forward to leading ISNS students through the Diploma Programme (DP).
Central to his philosophy of education is his conviction to the idea of the lifelong learner. The goal of continually learning and continually evolving as a person, teacher, and role model for his students is at the core of his educational beliefs and standards. He feels that the ultimate purpose of education is to impart life skills to students and to encourage them to become lifelong, internationally minded, independent learners.
His interests include the Houston Rockets, Houston Astros, Arsenal Football Club, Fédération Française de Football, cycling, traveling, and eating foods from around the world.
