Early Years Librarian
Chanda is the Early Years librarian at ISNS and she joined ISNS in 2015. She is a professional librarian and a generalist teacher, and comes with a great deal of experience in library management.
Chanda is from India and holds a Masters degree in Economics and a B. Sc. in Library Science. While pursuing her Master’s Degree, she has worked as a homeroom teacher at Play Way Montessori School in India for 3 years. She moved to Bangkok, Thailand in 2005 where she developed a special interest in library management and got the opportunity to work as a librarian at Thai Sikh International School (TSIS), Bangkok. She had a challenging job at TSIS as she had to set-up a new library for the Primary section of the school. She served TSIS for 2 years before moving on to Global International School (GIS), Bangkok where she worked for 3 years as a librarian. As being one of the pioneer teachers at GIS, Chanda again had an opportunity to establish a completely new library for the school. At ISNS, in her first year, she has served as the EY Librarian. 2nd year at ISNS, she played the role of an EAL teacher for Grade 1 and now in her 3rd year she is once again the EY Librarian, back into her field of specialization.
She loves working with little ones trying to shape them into responsible global citizens. Chanda is very happy to be a part of the ISNS family.
