Individuals and Societies Teacher
Craig Finnie is from Moncton, New Brunswick, on the east coast of Canada. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a major in Criminology from Saint Mary’s University (SMU). From SMU, he traveled to South Korea and taught English as a Second Language in Seoul. As a result, he discovered a passion for teaching and realized the impact he had on students in this setting. Upon his return from South Korea he entered the Bachelor of Education Degree program at Crandall University in Moncton. During this time, he was able to do part of his internship in Australia. Craig is passionate about integrating technology into the classroom and has been a Seesaw Ambassador for three years.
Craig loves to travel and has taught many years as an educator in Canada, Korea, Australia, England and China. Craig is married to Sarah, who will be returning to ISNS as a PYP Guidance Counselor.
Craig thoroughly believes in the IB Philosophy and is passionate about inquiry based learning. He believes in empowering his students each day and celebrating their successes. Craig believes in having a safe, engaging and positive learning environment for his students.
