PYP Music Teacher
Inge Schlüer is the PYP Music teacher for grades 1-3 and also the Intermediate Choir Director. She was born on the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to a German father and a Trinidadian mother. After graduating on the top of her class at the University of the West Indies with a BA in Musical Arts (HONS), she then furthered her studies and pursued a M.Ed. in International Teaching from Framingham State University. Throughout her ten years in teaching, Inge amassed a wealth of experience in music education whilst teaching in International schools in Trinidad, Egypt, and most recently China.
Inge gained considerable experience as a solo violinist, vocalist and pianist and has also been a member of several orchestras and other ensembles. Apart from music, she is very passionate about dance and holds a grade 8 certificate in ballet from the Royal Academy of Dance. In her spare time, Inge also enjoys Latin dancing and traveling.
It is her desire as an educator to help students meet their full potential, by creating a supportive, positive, and caring classroom environment that allows students to truly discover their passion and themselves.
