DP French Language Acquisition/ French Ab initio, MYP Language and Literature and PYP French Mother Tongue
Katherine Young is from a small town in Nova
Scotia, Canada. She followed the late French Immersion program at school and
graduated with Honors. Katherine then attended Université Sainte-Anne`s French
Immersion program. While there, she realized she wanted to become a teacher and
took her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in History and French. She then continued on to achieve a Bachelor of Education.
While doing her teaching internships, she discovered her love of working in second language classes. Following graduation Katherine moved to China where she taught English at SCCSC and then transferred to ISNS. During her first year here, Katherine taught Grade 12 French, MYP Language and Literature, and PYP English as an Acquired Language.
This year Kathryn is teaching DP French Language Acquisition, DP French Ab initio, MYP Language and Literature and PYP French Mother Tongue.
