MYP Math Teacher and MYP Service & DP CAS Coordinator
Kathryn was born and raised in the small town of Sackville, New Brunswick in Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in English and a double minor in Mathematics and Religious Studies at St. Thomas University (STU) in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She also received her Bachelor of Education Degree at STU with a concentration in Secondary Mathematics Education.
Kathryn believes that creating a safe atmosphere centered on student learning is of the utmost importance to maximize student achievement. She also strives to make each student feel valued and supported while taking into consideration their individual interests and needs. Kathryn is very passionate about inquiry based learning and loves giving students an opportunity to apply their skills in relevant, real life situations so that their learning is meaningful.
Kathryn is very excited to continue teaching MYP Year 1 Mathematics, and is thrilled to be the MYP Service Coordinator and CAS Coordinator. She can’t wait to see what meaningful action will be taken this year to help our community! Kathryn is looking forward to the great year ahead!
