Librarian Head, MYP DP Librarian and Extended Essay Coordinator
Kim is the Head Librarian at ISNS. In addition to overseeing the Early Years and main ISNS libraries, she is the point of contact for Middle Years and Diploma Program students, and ihe Extended Essay Coordinator for the grade 11 Diploma Program students.
Kim is from New Jersey, and graduated from Douglass College, Rutgers University with a BA in Psychology, and a minor in English Literature and Writing. She earned her master’s degree in library science from Rutgers University, School of Communication Information and Library Sciences where she also began doctoral studies in Information Systems and Structures / Communications. Kim comes to ISNS with a wealth of experience in libraries in the United States and Cote d’Ivoire, where she was the Librarian and Middle School Computer Skills teacher at an American international school.
Her passion is to develop 21st Century library spaces that are open and welcoming, promote the love of reading, and harness the power of technology and the internet, to enhance students’ ability to engage in exploration, discovery, and the exchange of ideas. Kim comes to Shenzhen this year with her husband and son. She is excited to be working at ISNS, proud to be a part of the ISNS journey towards becoming a top Canadian & IB World School.
