Dear Parents,

As of now I am happy to report that there are currently no confirmed nor suspected cases of the novel corona virus in our school community. All students, parents, teachers and staff are reportedly healthy. We certainly hope that this continues to be the case as we move forward.

I am confident that the overall situation will improve in good time and that we will be able to get back to school soon. We are currently still planning to re-open on our projected date of March 2nd. We are closely monitoring communication bulletins from the government and education bureau and will inform the ISNS community as soon as there are any updates from them that may impact the opening date of our campus.

It is tempting to succumb to the campaign of fear that comes across through the media—yet, I appreciate the calm approach you have taken as a community to make the best of the current situation.

Please rest assured that your child's education is our first priority over these next few weeks as we undertake teaching and learning online. The current situation is temporary and we will be exploring all possibilities should the school closure extend longer.  Additionally, we will ensure that all important tasks and vital functions such as meeting the IB requirements, carrying out assessments and supporting the submission of college applications, go on without setback. We are working with IB and following their recommendations to ensure that all of our teaching and learning throughout the school continues to meet their standards.

We greatly value having you as part of the ISNS community and look forward to many happy and successful days and years to come together. As always, please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Best wishes to you and your family.
