What you didn't know about Chinese New Year with Ms. Joyce Zhao, Head of Mandarin!
The Spring Festival is a traditional Chinese Lunar New Year which has a history of over 4,000 years. The Spring Festival is a time to pray for the year. Spring Festival is also a time for family reunion. On New Year's eve, the family gathers together to eat the "New Year's eve dinner", and the elders hand out "lucky money" to the children. The family sits together waiting for the new year coming. Spring Festival is also a festival for public entertainment. During the Spring Festival, various activities are launched: lion dance, dragon lantern dance, yangko dance, etc., which adds a strong festive atmosphere to the Spring Festival.
