Head of Visual Arts and Design, MYP/DP Visual Arts Teacher
Gloria Carnevale is the Head of the Visual Arts and Design department at ISNS, and she teaches both MYP and DP Visual Arts.
Gloria received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mount Alison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada. Her main focuses were in printmaking, photography and art history. During her time at Mount Allison, she completed a teaching internship, where she discovered her love for educating and inspiring students.
Looking to expand her artistic palette to include digital art, she subsequently attended Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, where she completed a Graduate Certification in Web Design. For several years, Gloria utilized her training to work as a lead designer, where she designed various software interfaces and web-based applications. After gaining experience as an industry professional, Gloria entered the field of education, where her true love for combining teaching, visual arts, and design were free to emerge. She completed her Bachelor of Education at Brock University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and is qualified to teach Visual Arts, Design and Technology courses.
