MYP/DP School Counsellor
Kristen Grabowski is from Buffalo, New York. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from the State University of New York at Fredonia. She received her Master of Arts degree with a concentration in both Counseling and Human Services and School Counseling from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. Kristen is a Board-Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She received certification in Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) and is a Credentialed College and Career Access Advisor. Prior to joining ISNS, Kristen worked as a College and Career Coach in the Chicago Public School District working with low-income, Latino students in grades 7-12.Kristen believes that creating a positive and supportive environment is essential in the well-being of each student. She encourages and supports individual differences and focuses on counseling students holistically. Kristen is passionate about helping students fulfil their aspirations and personal success and does this by providing supports in academic, personal/social, and college/career development.
