Sarah Wilbur Ainsworth
MYP & DP Individuals and Societies and Psychology
Sarah is a DP Psychology and MYP Individuals & Societies teacher at ISNS. Originally from Eastern Canada, Sarah has spent the better part of the past 15 years living overseas, including Shenzhen, Australia, France and Central America. Sarah worked at ISNS nine years ago after obtaining her B.Ed. from the University of New Brunswick. She also holds degrees in International Development & Spanish as well as an Honors Diploma in Psychology from Saint Mary’s University. She is the proud recipient of several scholarships and graduated Magna cum laude.
Prior to teaching DP Psychology, Sarah taught English Language & Literature, Theatre, French, Spanish and Humanities. She has also worked extensively in developing countries on various educational initiatives, notably with the Canadian International Development Agency. Sarah spent the past two years managing a business and conducting experimental research in Cognitive Psychology & Neuroscience at a University in Canada.
Sarah is thrilled to return to ISNS, this time bringing her passion for Psychology, and the philosophy of IB and inquiry-based learning to her classes. She looks forward to drawing from her breadth of practice in many disciplines in order to create enriching and engaging learning experiences for her students.
