From June 3-7, ISNS proudly hosted the PYP Exhibition (PYPX) and MYP Exhibition (MYPX) 2024, showcasing the remarkable work of our Grade 5, 9, and 10 students. This year's exhibitions were a testament to the creativity, dedication, and innovative thinking of our students, reflecting the diverse interests and talents within our school community.
PYPX-How We Express Ourselves
The PYPX 2024 theme, "How We Express Ourselves," allowed Grade 5 students to explore diverse topics through independent inquiry, developing their own Central Ideas and Lines of Inquiry. Students created factual, conceptual, and debatable questions to guide their research. Supported by school mentors, they reflected on their learning and took meaningful action. The exhibition celebrated the inquiry process and student growth, highlighting their hard work, creativity, and perseverance.
MYPX-Personal and Community Projects
Our Middle Years Programme (MYP) students showcased an impressive array of Community and Personal Projects. The exhibition was a vibrant display of creativity and innovative thinking, reflecting the diverse interests and talents of our students.
Personal Projects
The Personal Project is a culminating Middle Years Programme (MYP) project to develop the student’s personal interest and to show and apply the skills, which are developed through the MYP’s Global Contexts and Approaches to Learning (skills). This project is based on the student’s personal interests and talents, resulting in a meaningful product.
Grade 10 students embarked on a journey to explore their passions and interests, resulting in unique and meaningful projects. Highlights included "Punk fashion design," "Composing soundtracks for films," and "Sustainable organic lip balm business."
Community Projects
The Community Project focuses on community and service, encouraging students to explore their right and responsibility to implement service as action in the community.
Grade 9 students focused on service and community engagement, tackling various issues to make a positive impact locally and globally. Notable projects included "Cat Adoption Project," "Helping Stray Animals," and "Publicizing ISNS Through Art."
Overcoming Challenges and Achieving Excellence
Our students demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability, overcoming challenges to bring their projects to fruition. Their dedication to time management, self-organization, and adherence to deadlines has been commendable. We are immensely proud of their hard work and the impressive outcomes they have achieved.
ISNSX 2024 once again highlighted the importance of nurturing individual talents and fostering a sense of community engagement. Congratulations to all our students for their outstanding contributions and for making this year’s exhibitions a resounding success! We are excited to see how they continue to express themselves and make meaningful contributions to the world.
