Early Years Reading Club | K4-K5

This club provides an opportunity for our young readers to share the pleasure of reading and it promotes a love of reading in a positive, nurturing environment. Reading sparks curiosity, stimulates the imagination in young children and improves concentration and helps with relaxation. This club is great for students who love to read stories.

Reading Buddies | G1-2

Reading buddies is a program in which a MYP/DP mentor student is paired with an elementary student from grades 1-2. They will meet each week in the library and spend time reading together. The Reading Buddies program helps model good reading.

Graphic Novel Club | G4-5

Students will inquire into different techniques to plan, draft, revise, publish and share their own short graphic novel.

The Storytelling Club | G4-5

This club teaches students effective storytelling using the Hear, Map, Step, and Speak method. After retelling well-known stories and inventing their own stories they will give each other reflective feedback.The storytelling club is great for students who would like more opportunities to improve their public speaking abilities.

Students will be introduced to different forms of poetry for their personal portfolio. students will also learn how to edit and publish their work.

Model United Nations | G8-12

Model UN is a simulation of the UN General Assembly and its other multilateral bodies where students perform an ambassador role while debating topics such as gender equality, climate action, global health, and more.
