Alicia Wen has been teaching young learners at the International School of Nanshan Shenzhen since 2017. She is passionate about nurturing a love for the Chinese language and culture in her early years students.

Originally from Guangdong, Alicia earned her bachelor's degree in English in Guangzhou. With over 8 years of experience working in ISNS, she develops engaging lesson plans that combine Mandarin instruction with hands-on activities, songs, and storytelling.

At ISNS, Alicia teaches Mandarin as a specialist subject, integrating Chinese learning throughout the play-based and inquiry-based curriculum. She believes in creating a warm, supportive classroom environment that builds students' confidence in speaking Mandarin.

Outside of school, Alicia enjoys exploring different cultures and hiking with her family and friends. An avid reader, she is always on the lookout for new picture books to share with her students.
