An, originally from San Francisco, California, is a dedicated Grade 4 teacher. With a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California and an Education degree from the University of Nottingham, An has been a teacher for over 15 years in the US and China. 

An's teaching philosophy revolves around the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, which she deeply appreciates. She firmly believes that the IB framework empowers students by fostering the development of crucial leadership skills, effective communication skills, and critical thinking abilities. An finds joy in witnessing students grow and thrive as they feel empowered to explore, inquire, and excel. An encourages students to become lifelong learners and curious thinkers.

In her spare time, An is an avid mushroom hunter, she loves exploring the natural world, venturing into forests in search of fascinating fungi. Additionally, she finds solace and excitement in spending time outdoors to discover and collect unique geological specimens.
