Dylan Compton is a Design educator at ISNS. Leveraging his experience as a STEAM and Curriculum Coordinator, Dylan is dedicated to helping students develop the interdisciplinary skills and technological competencies required to thrive in a rapidly-evolving world. His pedagogical approach is informed by a/r/tography, blending his roles as artist, researcher, and teacher to foster a classroom culture of critical inquiry. His professional background spans IB Visual Arts, literacy development, and English language acquisition, allowing Dylan to bring multifaceted and interdisciplinary perspectives to the design space. 

Dylan’s research during his MA in Art Education at Boston University centered digital creation, speculative design, and student agency. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at Colorado College, where he graduated as a Phi Beta Kappa scholar with distinctions in his major and his thesis. Dylan holds Oklahoma and Arizona teaching certificates and dual TEFL credentials and is committed to supporting multilingual learners and interdisciplinary inquiry. Outside of the classroom, Dylan enjoys learning Chinese and Spanish and finds inspiration in the intersection of nature and urban design.
