Hanna was born and raised in South Korea and moved to Toronto, Canada as a teenager. Growing up between Korean and Canadian cultures helped shape her appreciation for diversity, inclusion, and the importance of belonging within a school community. She has teaching experience in Canada, South Korea, and Thailand, with a strong focus on the Early Years age group. She holds a BA degree in Early Childhood Studies from Canada and has extensive experience working in PYP schools with inquiry and play-based learning environments.
Hanna believes young children learn best through meaningful play, exploration, and positive relationships. She is passionate about creating a nurturing and language-rich classroom where children feel confident to express themselves, take risks, and develop independence as learners. She enjoys supporting children’s social-emotional growth while encouraging curiosity, collaboration, and creativity through inquiry-based experiences.
Hanna values creating warm and welcoming learning environments where children feel a strong sense of belonging. She enjoys incorporating creativity, storytelling, and real-world connections into everyday classroom experiences to inspire curiosity and confidence in young learners.
