Laurie Edmonstone is an experienced and committed educator who has dedicated her career to developing caring, open-minded, and curious lifelong learners. She is working towards a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she is expected to graduate in December. Laurie also holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with an Emphasis in K-12 Art Education.
With nine years of experience as an IB Continuum educator, including five years in international education, Laurie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role at ISNS. She is currently in her fourth year at the school and has been instrumental in developing the inquiry-based curriculum which is designed to promote critical thinking and creativity using 21st-century skills. Laurie is passionate about inspiring and empowering teachers to build their capacity and efficacy in the classroom, and she believes that investing in teacher development is essential for student success.
Originally from Colorado, USA, Laurie is well-traveled and has a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and is committed to promoting a global perspective in her role as Upper PYP Coordinator. She is dedicated the ISNS community vision and looks forward to continuing to inspire and support students and teachers alike.
