Nana Xu

Upper PYP School Counselor (G3-G5)

Inspired by the psychology teacher who helped Nana Xu navigated her anxious during the competitive college entrance examination period, she started to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Shenzhen University and completed her Master’s degree in School Counseling at New York University with global experiences, including a study abroad program on Autism at NYU London and an exchange semester at the University of Macao.


Nana’s professional journey includes counseling internships at P.S. 130 Hernando De Soto and Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School in New York City, where she has provided individual and group counseling, delivered SEL lessons, facilitated post-secondary planning workshops, and supported families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. She also worked as a project manager at Easo School Counseling Company, where she developed culturally responsive SEL lessons and produced data-driven behavioral reports for schools. 


Nana Xu is passionate about fostering inclusive, supportive, and culturally attuned learning environments. She enjoys hiking, Kayaking, and traveling that can broaden her perspectives and explore new adventures in life.
