Sebastien Creton

PYP/MYP French Language Acquisition Teacher

Originally from Marseille, France, Sébastien arrived in China in 2014. He began his career in education in France, working as a teaching assistant and English teacher in primary schools. In China, he taught English in training centers and kindergartens and later worked as a French and Spanish teacher in middle and high schools in Shanghai. In 2024, Sébastien joined ISNS as a primary school French teacher.


Sébastien holds a Master of Applied Languages (French, English, and Spanish) from Université Aix-Marseille and a Master’s degree in English and French Linguistics from Liverpool John Moores University. His education and experience inform his teaching practice, where he fosters a supportive classroom environment that encourages students to take risks and challenge themselves socially, emotionally, and academically as they learn a new language.


Dedicated to the action component of the IB curriculum, Sébastien focuses on helping students connect classroom knowledge to real-world issues in impactful ways. He values strong collaboration with committed IB educators, believing that teamwork is essential in supporting students' academic growth and social-emotional development as they become compassionate, solution-driven global citizens.
