Tracy Awde

Head of Library

Tracy is a passionate and experienced educator from Canada, with over 15 years of teaching in elementary schools. She specializes in library, media literacy, and music education, and is deeply committed to fostering a love of literacy and learning in her students. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from The University of Western Ontario, as well as a Bachelor of Education from New York State.


Known for her creativity and student-centered approach, Tracy designs engaging learning experiences that inspire curiosity and confidence. She believes in creating a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel safe to take academic risks, discover their potential, and explore their individual passions. Tracy also values the power of collaboration and believes that strong teamwork among colleagues enhances the learning experience for students, creating a more cohesive and enriching educational environment. 


Outside of the classroom, Tracy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, swimming, skiing, and playing the guitar—pursuits that reflect her vibrant and well-rounded approach to life and education.
