Ziya is originally from England and has spent the past five years teaching in China, working with children of various ages. She holds a BSc in Media Technology and Production, a TEFL certificate, and is working toward completing the PGCE. 

She believes learning should be hands-on, meaningful, and fun. Her classroom is full of curiosity, creativity, and opportunities to explore language through play, stories, and everyday experiences. She has worked in international and inquiry-based settings and loves helping children build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. 

Outside of teaching, she is passionate about baking—especially nostalgic treats that remind me of home—and she loves sharing that joy with others. Whether she is in the classroom or exploring the world, she is always on the lookout for new ideas, interesting stories, and moments that spark connections.
