The PYP is a curricular framework by the IB that is designed for students from the age group of 3-12. It is based on constructivist theories where students construct their own understand-ing through inquiry driven approaches to learning. The PYP is transdisciplinary in nature where each subject discipline is explored in-depth at the conceptual level through the language of the concepts. The PYP takes a holistic approach to child development and nurtures the individual personality and character while promoting international mindedness through the IB Learner profile attributes. It enables students to reflect on various real world scenarios and actively contribute towards making a positive change by taking action as a result of their learning.
